Whenever I buy a new toy, I like to have a play to see how versatile they are. As well as being a really nice plant that you could use on its own or in any garden scene, I think this ‘Honeysuckle’ die, also makes a great underwater seaweed!

I am loving this Autumn weather here in Perth, Western Australia – slightly crisp mornings, but mainly beautiful sunny days. My favourite time of year. Will be sad when my swims in the ocean are put on hold for winter though, I ain’t no polar bear 🙂

Apologies for my long leave of absence without giving notice, sometimes life just gets in the way. And you’d think having had that break, I’d come back all refreshed and full of creative ideas, but I find just the opposite is true, that it usually takes me a while for the creative juices to start flowing again. That’s my excuse anyway, for why I had to go out and buy myself a new toy in the shape of this “Honeysuckle Plant” 21201 Paper Rose die. I combined it with an old Stamp-it Kookaburra stamp and a Hero Arts wording for this card. The background and plant were sponged with Distress Oxide inks Bundled Sage, Speckled Egg & Crushed Olive. I used Buttercup Liquid Pearls to highlight plant tips.
