Write me a Letter

In this age of technology, writing letters is a dying art – and don’t even get me started on penmanship and correct spelling! It used to be quite exciting getting a letter in the mail. Now I suppose we get parcels instead (from our on-line orders) which may be even more exciting, especially if they’re a new stamp or die, haha.

The background was done with Distress Oxide inks. The ‘Dearest Friend’ stamp 17421 is by Paper Rose; the ‘Carte Postale’ L517L is a Lost Art Penny Black stamp; the ‘mini bug’ 1813a is also by Penny Black. I cut out a couple of the Gumnuts and Gumleaves die, and chopped and changed them around a bit.

We’re in lockdown and I’m on a roll. When I first purchased Paper Rose’s “Thanks a Bunch” stamp, I had a little play stamping it out as a background, horizontally and vertically. The card above has their smaller sized trio of the Gumnut babies from the “Snugglepot & Cuddlepie” 17310 set as the feature. The ‘best wishes’ at the top is a rub-on.

Below is one of my favourite cards from this series, using Paper Rose’s “Dearest Friend” 17421 stamp as the feature. I placed little dots of Balllerina Liquid Pearls over her skirt and headress.
