Honeycomb Wildflowers

My second floral card from my travel stash (see previous post), using Penny Black stamps “Whispers” 3377K and “To say Hi” 3409E. I coloured flowers with pencils, then went over orange ones with glitter chalks. I used “Orchid” Liquid Pearls over the lavender-like stalky flowers. The background was created with Tim Holtz embossing folder “Honeycomb” from set siz657846. I coloured solid half of folder with “Shaded Lilac, Crushed Olive & Dusty Concord” Distress inks, spritzed lightly with water, then placed white card inside and pressed down, but didn’t emboss. I sponged around edge of white cards with “Seedless Preserves” and “Dusty Concord” Distress inks.

  1. The honeycombe background is very effective. An interesting way to use the embossing folder.

  2. Another stunning piece. I really love the instructions you give, easy to follow and to inspire me to have a go. The liquid pearls really make the stems standout in my opinion.
