For this card, I have stamped the image with a “Sepia” Archival pad, then while still wet, immediately brushed some “Sunflower Sparkle” Perfect Pearl Powder over the top of the flower part only, with a dry paint brush. The leaves I have gone over the light brown inked image, with various green shades of normal coloured pencils.

Because this design is a solid image (rather than an outline one), it works well with the “direct to rubber” technique – whereas the name suggests, you use your texters directly on the rubber to colour. This means you can get multiple colours on your image, rather than stamping with an ink pad which would just give you one colour. (Note: only suitable for water-based inks. Do not try this with Spectrum Noir or Copic pens).

  1. Wow, these cards of the gumnuts really “pop”, so very eyecatching. Thanks for the instructions you have put in, can’t wait to try this out.

Also I have just realised there are some “older posts” didn’t see them the first time I looked through. Such great cards to inspire. Cheers Judy
