I have been waiting to try out my new Starburst spray from Lindy’s Stamp Gang called ‘Bougainvillea Fuchsia’. It’s a gorgeous deep pinky/red shade with purple shimmer through it. Delish!

I stamped and embossed the key collage onto white card using black ink and powder. Unfortunately my powder seems to have got some moisture in it and is not behaving itself as I would like. On a separate piece of white card, I stamped and embossed the ‘Beauty’ wording in black also. I spritzed both cards with the Bougainvillea Fuchsia Starburst ink. Dry with heatgun. Sponge around both cards with sepia and black ink. Attach wording to top right of collage with two-sided tape.

Stamp lady twice onto ivory card with black pigment ink. Emboss one with black powder and the other with Holographic. Cut out lady in black completely. Cut out dress and gloves only, from holographic one and glue over main body. Holographic powder over black ink can be quite subtle depending on how the light hits it, it can look black or sparkly gold. Colour her hair using a brown texter and apply tacky glue to shoes. When glue is dry, lay over Gold Fab Foil to colour shoes. Glue lady into position at right of collage/wording.

Attach card front to black matt. Punch three holes at bottom right and secure black brads through. Tape card to apricot folded backing card.

Apply tacky glue along lines of Eiffel Tower. When dry, lay over Gold and Silver Fab Foils to decorate. Add crystal rhinestone to center of heart. Give lady a gold earring if desired using Gold Stickles.

Dragonfly Dreams

I have used this Stampers Anonymous Dragonfly Collage stamp (P1622) many times and it still remains one of my favourites. Obviously everyone else feels the same as Pinterest is flooded with samples.

I have embossed the image in gold, then used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst ‘Jack in the Pulpit Teal’  in combination with Dylusions spray ‘Squeezed Orange’ for the background colour. We will be making a similar card to this in my upcoming “Pearls, Paints and other Potions” class.

This dragonfly from Stamp-it’s set065 is in the same vein as the above design.

For this card, I sponged Distress inks over white card to colour, then lay a stencil over and spritzed water through to create the circular images. I randomly dripped water droplets over for a more irregular effect. I also used a wet paintbrush on the right wings of dragonfly to bleach the colour from them. Have a clean tissue or paper towel handy to dry as you go. Glossy Accents and Crystal Glitter have been used on wings of both cards.
