This poppy die is becoming quite a favourite of mine. It somehow always seems to be the right shape for the space.

dies: Perky Poppy 98762  from Memory Box; Smile die378-E by Impression Obsession

(Yes, my card does actually have straight edges, despite their curvy look in the photo ha,ha. The wetness of the inks caused the white card to buckle a little. I’ll need to try flatten it out under a heavy book or something).

Sometimes simple is best. My second card in this 3 series post.

Cut out Perky Poppy die (Memory Box), ‘smile’ wording (Impression Obsession), and rectangle in white card, arrange as desired and glue onto inked background (created with Distress Stain sprays: Victorian Velvet and Frayed Burlap). I white embossed the ‘Love’ stamp (3283C from Stamp-it) onto a scrap of white card, then sponged over matching inks to colour. Use a circle punch or scissors to cut out stamp then Magic Mount into place. Assemble card layers.

While I was hunting through my ‘stash’ looking for suitable cards for male birthdays, I found these 3 cards I did a few years ago using the same two stamps – Traditional Camera 4747D and wording siset083 from Stamp-it. I didn’t end up using them this time, but am sure I will at some point in the future as they are good for a wide age range.
