Smiling Poppy

This poppy die is becoming quite a favourite of mine. It somehow always seems to be the right shape for the space.

(Yes, my card does actually have straight edges, despite their curvy look in the photo ha,ha. The wetness of the inks caused the white card to buckle a little. I’ll need to try flatten it out under a heavy book or something).

honeycomb 013 My third floral card this week, made quick and easy as the front of the cards were already coloured (see bottom of Flower Vase post), I just added highlights. I smeared Glossy Accents over the flower with a paint brush, then added “Mustard Seed” Distress Stickles to it’s center. After compiling my card layers, I applied touches of Sailor glue, and when dry covered glue with Leaf Craft “Harvest” gilding flakes.honeycomb 031
