I’m sure it’s wine o’clock somewhere in the world. Cheers and happy creating!

CARD FOUR

stamps: Time in Paris 4477E and Classy Lady 4251E both by Stamp-it

I made puddles of Tumbled Glass and Victorian Velvet Distress Stains on my teflon mat, then laid white card over. Stamp Paris clock in black ink. Apply fine line of tacky glue to circumference of clock. Set aside to dry, then lay silver Fab Foil over.

Stamp lady in black Archival ink onto scrap of white card. I used White Opal Liquid Pearls on her dress, applied with a paintbrush. I coloured her jewellery in with a blue texter, then added dots of Glossy Accents over. Red texter on lips and nails. Stardust Stickles for champagne bubbles. Sponged sepia ink around hair. When dry, cut her out, tearing across bottom of dress. Glue into position at right of clock stamp.

Stamp clock stamp again onto scrap of white card. Colour Eiffel tower with Victorian Velvet ink and white pencil. Apply tacky glue to swirl across base. Set aside to dry, then lay silver Fab Foil over swirls. Cut out tower and swirls only and glue over image on main card.

Cut card to size, tearing across bottom edge. Sponge all sides with sepia ink. Matt onto silver foil card which is slightly shorter to allow room for lace to be attached at bottom. Loosely fold some muslin behind and attach onto aqua card, then onto folded white backing card.

I have been waiting to try out my new Starburst spray from Lindy’s Stamp Gang called ‘Bougainvillea Fuchsia’. It’s a gorgeous deep pinky/red shade with purple shimmer through it. Delish!

CARD THREE

stamps: Inspired Key 4685F, Audrey-esq 3199F, Embrace Beauty 4507D by Stamp-it

I stamped and embossed the key collage onto white card using black ink and powder. Unfortunately my powder seems to have got some moisture in it and is not behaving itself as I would like. On a separate piece of white card, I stamped and embossed the ‘Beauty’ wording in black also. I spritzed both cards with the Bougainvillea Fuchsia Starburst ink. Dry with heatgun. Sponge around both cards with sepia and black ink. Attach wording to top right of collage with two-sided tape.

Stamp lady twice onto ivory card with black pigment ink. Emboss one with black powder and the other with Holographic. Cut out lady in black completely. Cut out dress and gloves only, from holographic one and glue over main body. Holographic powder over black ink can be quite subtle depending on how the light hits it, it can look black or sparkly gold. Colour her hair using a brown texter and apply tacky glue to shoes. When glue is dry, lay over Gold Fab Foil to colour shoes. Glue lady into position at right of collage/wording.

Attach card front to black matt. Punch three holes at bottom right and secure black brads through. Tape card to apricot folded backing card.

Apply tacky glue along lines of Eiffel Tower. When dry, lay over Gold and Silver Fab Foils to decorate. Add crystal rhinestone to center of heart. Give lady a gold earring if desired using Gold Stickles.

When I get an idea for a card in my head, I like to explore it’s possibilities by creating more than one version of it. Hence, my imaginary trip to Paris produced three cards, and I am hoping this afternoon to get time to work on a fourth.

CARD TWO

stamps: Catwalk 3324E, Eiffel Tower 4676E and Wording Background 2183F all by Stamp-it; Spring Corner 1930F by Penny Black

I stamped and embossed the Eiffel Tower and lady in black onto ivory card. Then I was supposed to mask them off (but realised when my stamp was already down on the paper that my mask was still sitting beside me. Oops!) before stamping over wording background in clear pigment ink and embossing in clear powder. I decided I was happy with a bit of texture showing through her dress, but did re-do her hair.

Tear around edges, using scissors to cut around lady’s shawl where it comes out of frame. Sponge Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo Distress ink over card. This will show the background wording up.

On a larger piece of ivory card, stamp and emboss the flower corner in black. Stamp flowers out a second time on some scrap. Colour leaves and butterflies with texters on large piece. On the scrap piece, I coloured the flower petals with White Opal Liquid Pearls using a paintbrush, then cut them out. I also stamped out some extra butterflies.

Attach the torn card front onto larger ivory piece, sitting it into the flower corner. Glue the cut out flowers into place (I Magic Mounted the middle one). Sponge around edge of card with sepia ink and attach to darker brown matting, then onto mid-brown folded backing card.

I applied white Opal Pearls with a paintbrush to her shawl and the white stripes of her dress, Glossy Accents to the center of the flowers, tiny rhinestones for her earrings. A smudge of black chalk for shadows under lady and tower. Cut PARIS from sheet of letters and glue on. Stamp, cut out, sponge and glue postal mark at top right.

A girlfriend of mine is off to Europe on holidays, going to Paris and numerous other lovely places. So jealous! The best I can do is head into my craft room and let my imagination transport me.

CARD ONE

stamps: Paris Collage set066 by Stamp-it; Girls love to Shop 95370MM by Inkadinkado

accessories: Silver & Gold Fab Foils, Pewter & Gold Perfect Pearls, Texters, Glossy Accents, Chalks

I stamped the Paris collage and girl out in black Archival ink onto two separate pieces of ivory card.

I applied glue (that dries tacky) to the Eiffel Tower and when dry laid gold and silver Fab Foils over. I dipped my finger into a clear pigment pad and smudged some shadows below the tower and bike riders and around the street lamps. I applied dry Perfect Pearl powders over in Pewter and Gold. I used a glitter pen over smaller Eiffel tower and brown chalks over bits of collage. I sponged around whole card in black, attached to pink matting, then onto folded ivory backing card.

I coloured the girl in with texters, highlighting her handbag with Glossy Accents. When dry, I sponged around the edges with black ink and matted her onto black card. I attached her over center of Paris collage.

I cut out LOVE (Impression Obsession die385-B) wording in black and glued onto top right of card.
