Every now and then, a card comes along, that really speaks to me. I don’t know if it’s the colours, or the fact shells and seahorses are both favourite subject matters. Or maybe it’s a reflection of my life the way the cards construction progressed. There was no big plan, things were added and subtracted over time, until finally we arrived to where we are now. This card was cobbled together from bits and pieces torn or cut and left abandoned from other projects. I placed my background (Turquoise Perfect Pearls handwriting over Vintage Photo Distress ink) into a bag, and slowly over time kept adding things I thought might compliment them. I had the miss-matched alcohol strips and seahorse in the bag for ages, before adding the shell and seaweed, finally finishing it off with the turquoise swirly leaves. Might have to keep this one just for me.
