stamps: Dearest Friend 17421 by Paper Roses; Spider from Inkadinado set

inks: Lindy’s Starburst ‘Bells of Ireland Green’; Vintage Photo Distress Stain Spray; Jet Black Archival Pad; various Distress Re-inkers

accessories: Metallic Copper Thread; Sunshine Yellow Flower Soft

I used a three-fold card, punching small holes down two sides of middle panel with an awl. You need the same number of holes each side, but as one side is obviously longer, it doesn’t matter that the holes are closer together on the shorter side. Thread copper thread onto a needle and criss-cross corner of panel to create web-like effect.

Spray white card with inks until covered. Dry with a heatgun. Slip card inside middle panel beneath webbing. Leave the securing of flap at back until spider thread has been attached.

Stamp gumnut baby onto white card in black ink. Colour in using Distress re-inkers and a waterbrush. Apply Tacky Glue to skirt and headband and push in yellow Flower Soft. Set aside. When dry cut out and glue into position at right of card.

Stamp spider in position on card front. Stamp spider a second time onto scrap paper and cut out body only. Attach a line of thread to back of spider body with Magic Mount and position over spider image on card. Push the other end of thread through web and into a hole. Secure at back of panel. Secure all sides of panel to frame with two-sided tape. Check that your card is opening the right way first:) Stamp wording across bottom in black ink.
