I remember in high school finding it difficult picking my subjects as I truly had no idea what I wanted to do as a career when I left. So hard when you’re still trying to figure yourself out, never mind everyone and everything else.

Spritz white card with water, then Distress Stain Sprays. Dry with a heatgun. Lay over stencil and sponge same inks through to correspond with background colours.

Stamp girl on separate card, colour her in with watercolour pencils, then cut out and glue onto main card. I added some stripes of Flamingo Liquid Pearls onto hat, some White Accents over her sholaces, Weathered Wood Crackle Paint onto bag and Silver Fab Foils to accents on bag.

Stamp wording in black at top left of card. Sponge around edge of card with sepia ink and attach to grey matting, then musk pink folded backing card.

inks: Victorian Velvet and Tumbled Glass Distess Stain Sprays and Pads

I like the freedom of being able to use any stamps I want when creating a card, with no constraints regarding  which company they come from.

stamps: Dreamer Flair by Close to my Heart; Empowered Words DD-960A by Unity Stamp Co

die: Garden Trellis Frame & Labels 660060 by Sizzix

I later added a swirly stream of Diamond Stickles behind butterfly to show its flight path and to fill in the middle space, but as usual was frustrated by my media library not allowing me to rotate the photo the correct way up and so eventually gave up trying to post that pic. If anyone has any advice on the matter, I’m all ears!
