Teenage Dream

I like the freedom of being able to use any stamps I want when creating a card, with no constraints regarding  which company they come from.

stamps: Dreamer Flair by Close to my Heart; Empowered Words DD-960A by Unity Stamp Co

die: Garden Trellis Frame & Labels 660060 by Sizzix

I later added a swirly stream of Diamond Stickles behind butterfly to show its flight path and to fill in the middle space, but as usual was frustrated by my media library not allowing me to rotate the photo the correct way up and so eventually gave up trying to post that pic. If anyone has any advice on the matter, I’m all ears!

Teenage Heart

The teenage years can sometimes be challenging, and making cards for that age group can be too. Each child is an individual and they mature at different rates, so what might suit one 13 year old, may seem too childish for another. I have been asked for ideas for teenage girls lately by a number of friends wanting to make cards for their daughter’s friends birthdays or their own grandchildren. It’s nice having friends that span many generations, helps keep me in touch. And it’s important for us girls to support each other, no matter our age.

stamps: Dreamer Flair set B1439 by Close to My Heart; Butterfly Edge 3648K by Penny Black

inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar and Dried Marigold Distress Stain Sprays; Jet Black Archival Pad

punch: Fiskars Butterfly hand Punch
