Butterfly Wreath

When life has you going round in circles, at least make them pretty ones!

I never throw away my scraps of card, as they come in handy for projects like this.

  1. First sort through your scrap drawers to find coordinating papers.
  2. Cut out your “Butterfly Wreath” 99380 Memory Box die in solid card colour (I chose red).
  3. Cut out individual butterflies from your scraps, then lay them out in the order you want them to go in.butterfly wreath 2
  4. I sponged some white card for the background in Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar & Weathered Wood Distress inks. (This was originally for another project but I changed direction. It has a wording clear embossed underneath if you look closely). I glued my butterfly wreath on, then using a circle template, cut a rounded edge on one side of card. I then sponged all edges with Worn Lipstick Distress ink.
  5. I added a square of Magic Mount to outer wing of butterflies and glue to inner wings.butterfly wreath 009
  6. After positioning butterflies, I added their antennae (which I cut shorter as I felt they were too long), then placed a dot of Petal Pink Liquid Pearls for head.
  7. When dry, I adhered finished front card to backing layers.butterfly wreath 008new but wreath 005

  1. Another gorgeous creation, love how all those “scraps” are used to such great effect. Your creativity definitely inspires me to attempt these lovely cards.
