Zebra Music

20170316_173137Like with stamps, I try to get the most out of my embossing folders. Using the same Diamond pattern embossing folder from Kaisercraft, I created 2 different looking backgrounds for the following 2 cards:

The backgrou20170106_090226nd for the Zebra card was done by using the folder like a stamp. First spritz the folder with black ink, placing the white card inside, then close it up and push down to imprint the pattern onto the white card.

Zebra stamp 4×502013 is by Deep Red. It is only a single zebra which I masked off and stamped out twice. Wording is from Stamp-it set047.

20170316_181056For this background I first sponged Distress inks over white card to cover, then embossed it with folder through Big Shot machine. I then poured clear embossing powder over and heatset. Next I sanded raised areas, then sponged black ink over.

The drums are made with black clay which has been cooked in the oven, then coloured with dry Perfect Pearl Powders.

  1. You are such a talented person, I love how you made these two cards using the same embossing folder, but look so totally unique. I was very disappointed not to have come to this class, so really appreciate you posting these cards. Can’t wait to try these wonderful backgrounds xo
