English Rose Bouquet 3

Simple silhouettes.

This card is very straightforward, simply using the cut out roses from English Rose Bouquet die #99139 by Memory Box and gluing over a patterned background. I left the leaves unglued so I could lift them slightly to create some dimension to the card.  I sponged the leaves with Lumiere metallic Olive green paint. When used thinly this green paint shows up a gorgeous gold tint through it. I swirled some Gold Stickles into the center of each rose head.

VARIATION:

Of course, don’t limit yourself by always trying to use the design as a whole. You could chop it up and only use part of it – as a border, a corner, to decorate an envelope flap, whatever…

For this sample, I was experimenting using the cut-out as a stencil. I smeared some white shimmery texture paste through it, but wasn’t happy with the result, so it got binned. This was going to join it, but I liked the shimmer effect on the roses and decided to salvage it.
