Pink Tea

So I made myself a cup of tea, and decided I should incorporate the teabag into my next card design. I have used them before and find them a great medium. They can appear fragile, but are quite strong, easy to stamp onto and obviously take liquids (watercolours/paints) well.

Still using the ‘Scrapcosy 16‘ stamp set from last post, except the little teapot for the tag, which is from a Graphic 45/Hampton Arts set.

The background was done with Distress Stain sprays ‘Victorian Velvet’ and ‘Dried Marigold’. I sponged Distress inks ‘Antique Linen’ and ‘Victorian Velvet’ over the cup. I coloured the leaves with watercolour pencils, then cut out (which was a bit of a pain), also stamping leaves onto the tea bag which had been emptied and dried.
