inks: Clear Versamark Pad; Jet Black Archival Pad; Picked Raspberry & Barn Door Distress Re-inkers; Picked Raspberry Distress Stain

papers: White Matt Card; Pink Pajamas Bazzill Smoothie Card

accessories: White Embossing Powder; Rouge Liquid Pearls; Clear Rhinestone; Tag & Bookplates siz656938

adhesives: Two-sided Tape

tools: Heatgun; Scissors; Waterbrush; Big Shot

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Stamp Poinsettia stamp onto white card with clear pigment pad, pour white embossing powder over and heat set with Heatgun. Repeat this process a 2nd time on some scrap of white card.20160926_095227
  2. Place separate drops of the two Distress re-inkers onto a palette (I often use my acrylic blocks as palettes). Pick up the colour with a waterbrush (or wet paintbrush) and colour in petals of the poinsettias. Dab with a dry tissue when finished to remove any ink that may be sitting on top of the embossed areas, otherwise you may inadvertently smear that onto your white backing card. Cut out the 2nd poinsettia from the scrap card.
  3. Ink up ‘Peace’ word & star only from wording stamp (masking off other words), and stamp onto scrap of white card in black ink. Cut out bookplate from Sizzix die in white card. Attach wording into center. Place clear rhinestone in center of star.20160926_101718
  4. I didn’t have any suitable pink ribbon for my card, so I coloured some yellow ribbon I had that was the correct width by simply running some Picked 20160926_103740Raspberry Distress Stain over it.
  5. Thread short sections of ribbon through the holes on either side of bookplates. Stick the bookplate down onto your card, then wrap the ribbon over the edges of your card to secure at the back. 20160926_104522
  6. Attach your card front onto pink matting, then folded white backing card with two-sided tape.
  7. Position your cut out 2nd poinsettia angled over poinsettia on main card and fix with tape in the center only. I like to curl the petals a bit to create dimension. Place a few drops of Rouge Liquid Pearls into the center of the flower and set aside to dry. 20160926_110043
