Orange Poinsettia

It always takes me a while to warm up to making Christmas cards. I have to start thinking about designing them months before I even want to think about Christmas at all! I find the best time (as far as inspiration goes) for me to make Christmas cards is straight after Christmas, while I’m still in that holly jolly festive mood. I thought I’d kick off my Christmas run this year with some poinsettia cards, and just pretend I was doing normal floral cards – just to ease myself into the Christmas ‘zone’. Keeping things simple to begin with.20161003_115323

  3. Stamp and gold emboss wording onto right side of papaya card (I prefer to use the smooth side of the Bazzill card when embossing). Attach to pomegrante (red) matting, then onto folded apricot backing card with two-sided tape.20160926_131932
  4. Layer flowers over each other, securing with two-sided tape in centers only. Position them at left side of wording on front of card. You can curl your petals downwards if you prefer.20160926_132925
  5.  Cut out the music die in the gold mirror card and attach under the wording with liquid glue.
  6. Affix flower stamen (cut from punch in gold paper) to center of poinsettia and glue red rhinestone in center of it.  20161003_115323
