Here are 2 cards made using Stamp-it’s ‘Elephants’ 4215D woodmount stamp designed by Micky Choo. In the card on the left, I have also used ‘Weathered Clock’ 657190 Sizzix die and the tree from ‘African Savannah Scene’ 724821 die by Couture Creations, plus ‘Limited Cog’ stamp 4906C by Stamp-it. The wording I did on the computer, then cut out.20161231_165258

20170313_144036The card on the right I used the direct to rubber technique to colour as the elephants are solid rubber (as in not an outline design). I used Distress Pens directly onto the rubber, then spritzed the stamp lightly with water and stamped it out. This creates a soft watercolour effect.

  1. Thanks Judy, yes the Postcard is one of Tim Holtz embossing folders (I have lost the pack so am unsure of the code). I stuck some metal shim onto white card before putting it through the Big Shot to emboss. Painted it pale blue, then wiped some of the paint off with a wet one. When dry I sanded it, then sponged a brown ink over the top. The pastel colours were inspired by some new 12×12 Fab Scraps papers I recently purchased, will show you next time.

  2. I love these cards and was sorry I couldn’t make it to the class. Is the PostCard an embossing folder.. Just gorgeous colours you have used. xx
